Aesop (EE-sop or AY-sop; Ancient Greek: Αἴσωπος, Aísōpos; c.

620–564 BCE; formerly rendered as Æsop) was a Greekfabulist and storyteller credited with a number of fables now collectively known as Aesop's Fables.
